Saturday was spent in Larnaca with family and friends, traditional Cypriot cuisine served traditional Cyprus style. Greek village salad, cooked white beans and simple village bread. Just wonderful! For desert we had "Palouzes", a type of sweet jelly made from grape juice. It has no sugar added and so the sweetness is completely natural. It's our favourite healthy option desert along with raw Cyprus mountain honey. It's special moments with family and friends when you feel taken back in time to the real Cyprus.
Sunday started out with an amazing beach run with the Limassol RunningClub, meeting point was Dasoudi beach at 8:30 a.m, a fun group of runners from every country imaginable. We headed out towards the marina along the beautiful Limassol coastline, quick stop to admire the view before running back to Dasoudi beach along the sandy beaches. Total distance 16km. Weather is still very warm in Limassol with cloudless blue skies. Sometimes we do have to remind our selves that this is the middle of November! (If you are reading this in the U.K, sorry)
Later on we all met up again at Londa Hotel for lunch, they were having a special live jazz event. Sitting there with friends, live jazz band playing in the back ground, an amazing vegan lunch in front of me..I remember looking out to the deep blue Mediterranean sea just 100 meters in front of me, and thinking..."doesn't get any better than this". Living the Limassol life and loving every minute.
Bye for now ~
