The world's toughest 135 mile trail running race. Right here in Limassol, Cyprus!
Runners have been sighing up from over seven different countries to try and finish an almost impossible 135 mile race. Now in its third year, the course is set in the Limassol mountains and takes place during the middle of summer when temperatures can hit 40C in the shade, to add to this there is no shade. Temperatures have been measured at 55C in the direct heat and sunlight.
In 2013 just one runner finished the race with less than 2 hours remaining on the cut off time, Gilbert Gray from the USA.
This years race is even bigger and better with more runners and local support. Also on the menu is a 21k, 50k and 80k option, if you're not quite ready for the big one.
