Festivals and large carnivals are hosted in Limassol annually and happen throughout the year. The Limassol Carnival lasts for 10 days and has been ongoing since its origins of pagan rituals. Parading through the main streets, fancy floats and walking troupes lead up to balls and parties that set the town alight with excitement and music. The whole town takes part in the festival season and it brings the community together. Another famous activity in Limassol is the Limassol Marathon which takes place annually and the Cyprus Ultra Marathon, the world's toughest trail race. Runners travel from around the world to take part in these races, and are widely anticipated events throughout the region.
Living in Limassol, Cyprus is amazing because it provides the small, rambling feel of a European town with ancient roots but it also is a hub of excitement and business.
